RCPD Arrest Report 3/11/14

The Riley County Police Department initiated an investigation into an alleged rape  on Saturday night. . The  reported victim in this investigation is a 21-year-old female and the suspect is of similar age. This incident occurred in the city limits of Manhattan.  Due to the nature of this investigation, no further information has been released.

And on Sunday, RCPD filed a report for sexual battery after a 21-year-old female reported she had been inappropriately touched by 3 college age white males while in the Aggieville Business District on March 8th. Currently no arrests have been made as this investigation is ongoing.

Riley County Police have filed a report for battery and theft in the 1200 block of Moro Street in the Aggieville Business District.  Police indicate  Jeffrey Richards, 23, of Emporia reported a female suspect had taken a necklace valued at approximately $1,600 from his possession.
 
This suspect has been identified as Rashayla Hamilton, 21, of Wichita, who was arrested for theft, battery, possession of cocaine, and traffic in contraband to a jail facility. Her bond was set at $20,000.

Riley County Police filed a report for theft in the 300 block of 9th Street in Ogden on Monday afternoon shortly before 3 pm,  for an incident that occurred between that time and November of 2013.
 
Michael Brown, 22, of Ogden reported several items were taken from him by a subject who he knows. These items included household goods and military equipment totaling approximately$5,000.
 
No arrests have been made at this time as officers continue to investigate.

A reported arson case is being investigated by the Riley County Police Department.  The case occurred at about 2:55 AM Monday in the 200 block of 7th Street in Ogden.
 
When police arrived they found a vehicle had been ignited creating approximately one-thousand dollars worth of damage. The victim in this case is  listed as Julianne Massong, 23, of Ogden and currently the suspect or suspects are unknown.
 
There were no injuries reported and the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of this incident. Those with information are encouraged to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers or the Riley County Police Department.

A Manhattan man was arrested Saturday for violation of a protection order.
 
Riley County Police announced Tuesday that Saturday night at approximately 9:30, the Riley County Police Department responded in the city limits of Manhattan, for a complaint of protection order violation. The victim in this case is a 40-year-old female and the suspect is known to her.
 
Arrested for violation of protection order was William Robinson IV, 30. He was confined and later released on five-thouand dollar bond. Due to the nature of this investigation no further information has been released.

Riley County Police are investigating a reported criminal damage to property involving the city of Manhattan reported Monday.
 
Police indicate during an unspecific time frame, the pool slide at the Northview Pool in the 500 block of Griffith Drive was vandalized. This vandalism created approximately $3,000 worth of damage, with the slide punctured.
