Former Kansas State QB Collin Klein has signed a two-year deal with the Montreal Alouettes, we’re told.
Klein, who was a Heisman Trophy Finalist in 2012 and led the Wildcats to the Big 12 Championship and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl that season had signed last year as a free agent with the Houston Texans in the NFL but was not able to earn a longer contract after taking part in their minicamp. It appears that Klein will get the opportunity to play Quarterback for the Alouettes who last week signed former NFL Wide Receiver Chad Johnson.
Klein won’t be the first former Wildcat to play in the CFL as Michael Bishop was able to play several years there.
