    Expansion for Florence Manufacturing

A local manufacturing company is planning a seven million dollar capital investment in its operations, with a substantial expansion of its workforce. Florence Manufacturing Company is a division of Gibraltar Industries and is making the investment to expand production capabilities and add capacity to support significant growth in Florence’s core business lines.

Stacy Kohlmeier, Florence’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales, tells KMAN 2009-2011 were tough years, with the construction economy so far down. But the improvement in the economy isn’t the only reason for the company’s success. She and other company officials indicate as online shopping has increased, postal and private parcel carriers are looking for more efficient and cost effective methods of delivering packages.

The company manufactures and distributes centralized mailboxes and parcel locker products across North America. The company will be adding more than 100 new production jobs over the next several months.

President of Florence Manufacturing, John Altstadt, says “Our team is very excited to fulfill the expanding business needs of all our various customers and partners. We’re also enthusiastic about where our business is going overall with interesting opportunities ahead.”
