A St. Mary’s man, already serving time for multiple burglaries, was sentenced Thursday for additional burglary charges..
Luke Linxwiler (35) appeared in Pottawatomie County District Court to receive his sentence. These cases occurred in April and May of last year, and involved Griffith Lumber and a site under construction in the industrial park in Pottawatomie County.
Linxwiler will face 32 months, just over two and a half years, with the department of corrections for these cases.
Linxwiler was sentenced back in February to nine years in prison for multiple previous burglaries in rural St.Mary’s and the city of St. Mary’s last summer.

The St. Mary’s man, charged in the robbery of a Gambino’s Pizza delivery person back in September, was sentenced in Pottawatomie County District Court Thursday.
William John Thomas (23), also known as Billy Thomas, was charged with aggravated robbery after reportedly telling a pizza delivery person to set down the pizza and give him his money. Reports also indicate Thomas had a knife at the time of the robbery.
Thomas was sentenced to 40 months, or just under three and a half years, with the department of corrections.

KMAN reported last month that a St. Mary’s man entered a plea of no contest in a drug bust case. That man appeared in Pottawatomie County District Court again Thursday for sentencing.
Samual Greidanus (47) was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended, back in July of 2012. The incident began with a traffic stop, and a drug dog alerted authorities when walking around the vehicle.
Greidenaus was sentenced to 40 months, or just under three and a half years, with department of corrections.

A jury trial was set in Pottawatomie County District Court Thursday for an Ogden man facing vehicle burglary charges.
Bobby Pearson (30) was arrested in May of last year for two vehicle burglary charges, and one possession of cocaine charge. At that time he was charged with a $15,000 bond.
Pearson’s jury trial was set for July 10th.

An Ozawkie man was arrested for several theft-related charges, and he was sentenced in Pottawatomie County District Court Thursday.
Daniel Payne (29) faced burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property charges in connection with a burglary that took place at Griffith Lumber in May of last year.
He received an underlying sentence of 10 months with the department of corrections, and was granted probation for a year. Payne was also ordered to pay restitution and costs associated with the case.

The fleeing and eluding incident, that took place at Manhattan’s Wal-Mart, in July of last year, has come to an end now that the Eskridge woman charged in the case has been sentenced.
Stephanie Rush (29) plead no contest last month, to felony fleeing and eluding after taking several items from the jewelry and make-up counters within the store.
Rush was sentenced Thursday, in Pottawatomie County District Court, to an underlying sentence of 10 months with the department of corrections and was granted probation for a year. She was also ordered to pay costs associated with this case.
