Junction City Police and EMS responded to 1731 North Park Dr., apartment #5 Monday in reference to a subject that had been shot. Upon arrival, a 26-year-old Fort Riley soldier was discovered deceased from an apparent single gunshot wound.
The identity of the subject is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
According to Lieutenant, Jeff Childs, the incident is currently under investigation and an autopsy will be scheduled.
