22-year-old Garret Olson waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Friday morning in Riley County court.  Olson is charged with involuntary manslaughter after a fatal accident in October of 2013.  Officials allege Olson was at fault in the accident which resulted in the death of his passenger Trevor Redding.

Olson will appear on June 16th at 2:30 pm in Riley county court for his next hearing on the case.

Olson’s defense attorney informed the court they were still awaiting results from a KBI lab test.  Prosecutors confirmed the information saying they were awaiting results from a DNA blood swab.
