Large Colorful Crowd for Color Run

color run 4The Color Run is described as the “Happiest 5K on the Planet”, and is currently on it’s Kaleidescope Tour.  The tour stopped in Manhattan Saturday morning, and several volunteers could be seen around the east side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium assisting with the event.

Runners are instructed to arrive to the event wearing white t-shirts, and are even provided white t-shirts on site as well.  Throughout the 5K, there are different color stations where runners get dowsed in paint powder.  Once they reach the finish line, the runners have purple, pink, yellow and blue on their once-clean shirts.

Law enforcement closed down portions of a few major roads, including Kimball Avenue, so runners could participate safely.

After making it to the finish line, people could enjoy a few different vendors, grab some extra Color Run goodies, and a stage featured music and “color throws”.  A photo booth location was also set up on the black top.
