K-State’s Katie Brand and Kylee Zumach were both named honorable mention All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches Association after helping lead the Wildcats back to the NCAA tournament this year.
They are just the seventh and eighth Wildcats to ever be named AVCA All-Americans, and Zumach is the first freshman to garner the honor. Zumach is also a finalist for the AVCA Freshman of the Year award.
Brand is just the second K-State setter in school history to earn All-American honors, joining Gabby Guerre who was an honorable mention selection in 2003.
K-State finished 22-9 in 2014 and made their 15th all-time appearance in the NCAA tournament.
