Shaelyn Martin scored 10 points and Kansas State began the second half with an 18-0 run to salt away a 60-41 victory over Samford Tuesday night in Women’s Basketball action at Bramlage Coliseum.

Both teams struggled to generate offense in the first half and K-State only led 25-20 at halftime before their second half surge. Haley Texada and Breanna Lewis each contributed eight points to the Wildcat cause while Kindred Wesemann added six. Hannah Nichols led the Bulldogs with 12 points

With their 10th win of the season, K-State is now one victory shy of its win total from last season after wrapping up non-conference play.

Kansas State (10-1) begins Big 12 play on Saturday with a road trip to Ames to face Iowa State. Tipoff at Hilton Coliseum is set for 1 p.m.
