After eight years of service as a fire supervisor, Bruce Brazzle stepped down from his position at the Pottawatomie County Fire Department. Brazzle was recently mentioned on KMAN’s InFocus for his trailblazing efforts in the recent consolidation of several different fire districts for the county.
“This year is the first year we’ve gone about consolidating about seven different fire districts,” County Administrator Robert Reece mentioned, “that in itself was a long time coming, and really, Bruce Brazzle was the one who spearheaded that with various chiefs… it has really, really turned out great.”
County Commission Chair Stan Hartwich also mentioned his feelings on Brazzle’s departure.
“We sure hated to see him step down, but I realize he had some other things he wanted to pursue. He’s done a wonderful job for us.”
