    Vehicle Investigation in Junction City

    JunctionCityPoliceThe Junction City Police Department is requesting help from the public in the investigation of a vehicle theft.  A press release was sent out regarding this matter Tuesday afternoon.
    On Sunday, December 21st, just before 7 p.m., officers took a vehicle theft report involving the theft of a 2013 Freightliner-a Columbia model with purple stripes running down each side and a large Power Cat emblem on each side.
    The vehicle was taken sometime between Friday, December 19th-Sunday, December 21st.
    The Freightliner was recovered on Monday, December 22nd, and was found parked on the ramp at exit 350 on I-70.  The vehicle appeared to be partially stripped at the time of recovery.
    Anyone with information is being asked to call the police department at 785-762-5912.
