The Junction City Police Department in cooperation with the Kansas Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Parole Violator who is being sought by the JCPD and KDOC. Arthur M. Vantassel is a male, 29 years of age, 5’10” tall, 200 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Mr. Vantassel was convicted in 2011 on charges of Distribution of Certain Hallucinogens. He has been a Fugitive from the Department of Corrections Parole Program since December of 2014. He was last known to be residing in Junction City and is still believed to still be in the area. Police are asking that the public does not try to apprehend Vantassel themselves but should call 911, the JCPD at 785-762-5912, Crimestoppers at 785-762-TIPS or you can text CRIMES, and start your tip off with tipjc. You may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.
