A column of ash and smoke erupts from the Turrialba volcano in Turrialba, Costa Rica, Thursday, March 12, 2015. The volcano erupted three times Thursday and state observers recorded a smaller eruption Friday morning. Costa Rican officials have closed the country’s principle airport in the capital of San Jose after the eruption filled the sky with ash. The country’s public education ministry suspended classes Friday at 12 schools near the volcano.
