A press release was issued Wednesday morning regarding an arrest made in Junction City.
The Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group conducted a traffic stop just before 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while in the 500 block of West 12th Street in Junction City.  The driver was talking on his cell phone (which is against city ordinance), his driver’s license was suspended and had a confirmed Geary County District Court warrant for his arrest.  An odor of marijuana also resulted in a search of the vehicle.  Officers found marijuana packages for sale within the vehicle.  This search also took place within 1,000 feet of a school.
Another search warrant was issued at 630 Goldenbelt Boulevard in Junction City.  The search revealed two firearms, drug paraphernalia, and additional marijuana packaged for sale.
Mark Viloria (32) was arrested for seven different charges following these findings, including criminal acquisition of drug proceeds, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The operation group seized suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle, two firearms and U.S. currency.
