    Former Manhattan St. Rep. Confirmed to Cabinet

    The Kansas Senate confirmed Governor Sam Brownback’s cabinet nominees as of April 2nd, with one a former State Representative from Manhattan.
    The Senate has approved Governor Brownback’s cabinet nominees, Doctor Susan Mosier as Secretary of Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Mosier served as as a State Representative representing part of the Manhattan area in 2011. She also had an opthalmology practice in Manhattan for several years. Doctor Mosier has served as interim director of KDHE since November of 2014,
     Colonel Mark A. Bruce was also confirmed as Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol. Colonel Bruce is a 25 year veteran of the Kansas Highway Patrol.
    Governor Brownback says he’s “confident Doctor Mosier and Colonel Bruce will serve our state with skill and excellence”.
    Both Doctor Mosier and Colonel Bruce will be sworn in later this month.
