A Manhattan man has been found guilty of five charges, with four of those being drug-related. A Riley County jury found Eric Lipp guilty of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, methamphetamine hydrochloride, and drug paraphernalia. The fifth conviction was for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
The trial lasted one day. Lipp’s sentencing is set for May 18th.
Lipp entered a not guilty plea to the charges last September. Riley County Police reports indicated in August the 43-year-old was arrested along with two other suspects following an investigation by RCPD into the distribution of meth, cocaine, and other controlled substances. All three were arrested near the 2100 block of Mike’s Place in Manhattan and the 200 block of Riley Avenue in Ogden.
The other two arrested were Anita Albano, 47, and Catherine Hopkins, 45. Police at the time said 53.7 grams of methamphetamine, 4.8 grams of cocaine, 37 methamphetamine hydrochloride pills, $1,1716.23, and a handgun were seized. Street value was estimated at $6,740.
