    Manhattan Plans Public Meetings

    A public meeting to present Manhattan’s draft 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and the 2015 Annual Plan for the Community Development Block Grant program will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (April 16) in the Commission Room at City Hall on  Poyntz Avenue.

    The city is looking for feedback and suggestions from the public on the proposed use of funds and proposed projects for the next cycle of CDBG funds. An overview of the 121 page document is available online at the city’s website.

     
    And a Fair Housing Seminar is planned the next week. City officials and local housing experts will be available for an overview of fair housing practices during the annual Fair Housing Seminar on April 23rd. Code enforcement, ADA issues, Section 8 guidelines and best practices for rental housing will be covered during the meeting from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 23rd at the Manhattan Fire Station Headquarters Lecture Hall on  Denison Avenue.
