The one ballot question this election season passed overwhelmingly, with Wamego voters saying yes to an ordinance allowing construction work by property owners on their own property without employing contractors licensed by the City of Wamego. The matter was discussed at several City Commission meetings, before being placed on the ballot. As the unofficial election numbers indicate below, the modification to current ordinance passed by a three to one margin.

Contested races in Pottawatomie County included that of St. George Mayor, with Timothy Calmes receiving the most votes. The new St. George Council members appear to be Josh Winkleman and Christopher Collins.

Onaga voters elected August Hartwich to serve as Mayor and Tom Walsh, Dale Renfro, and Max Loughmiller as Council members.

Wamego’s USD 320 contested race ended with Bruce Coleman for Position 7 over incumbent Richard Weixelman.
