    A Manhattan man arrested by Riley County Police Wednesday faces several charges including battery. Fred Joiner Jr., 35, was taken into custody by RCPD officers Wednesday at 9:45 AM in the 1300 block of Marlatt Ave.
    Joiner was arrested on several Riley County warrants– the first for domestic battery and battery and the second warrant for motion to revoke probation violations. The original offense on the second warrant involved criminal trespassing.
    Joiner’s total bond is $5,500.

    The Riley County Police Department will be holding its monthly NextCoffee meeting on Monday (April 27) at 5:30 PM. The meeting will be held at Radina’s located in Aggieville. Police Officer and School Resource Officer Jamie Douglass from the Riley County Police Department’s Patrol Division will be this month’s guest speaker to discuss his patrol shift and experiences as a law enforcement officer in and outside of area schools.NextCoffee meetings are generally held on the last Monday of each month and are designed to provide a casual setting in which Manhattan and Riley County community members can interact with police officers of the Riley County Police Department.
