Police in Riley County are investigating several cases of vehicle theft, criminal damage to property, and vehicle burglary, which occurred over the weekend. Information to release was limited at the time of this report due to the ongoing nature of these investigations.
RCPD  reminds community members to lock and secure doors and windows on their vehicles. Ninety percent of vehicle burglaries in Riley County involve a vehicle, which was left unsecured in some fashion.
Police also encourage community members to remove valuables from their vehicles when left unattended, which includes handguns and other weapons, tools, or hunting and military gear.
