By KMAN Staff on April 1, 2015 Geary County
geary county sheriff badgeThe Geary County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call in reference to an unresponsive individual in the east bound rest area at mile marker 310 on I-70.
Deputies, along with Junction City Fire and EMS, responded to the call on Tuesday and located the subject who was unresponsive and lying in the parking area next to a moving van.
The Geary County Coroner responded and pronounced the subject dead at the scene.  The individual was later identified as Keith Morrison (47) of Aurora, Colorado.
Once next of kin was notified, the investigation revealed that Morrison was moving from Aurora, Colorado to Florida.  He was traveling alone and stopped at the rest area and collapsed in the parking lot of what is suspected as natural causes.  No foul play is suspected and an autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
