As previously announced, Lee Weber will be the new football coach and was on Monday night’s consent agenda. Also at Monday’s meeting, Board President Richard Weixelman opened the meeting with an addition to the consent agenda of the hiring of Kevin Kinderknect as the High School’s Girls Basketball Coach for the 2015-2016 school year. In addition, he announced the hiring of Laura Rezac as the high school math teacher.

The board also recognized Cathy Wilbur as West Elementary Teacher of the Year. She was introduced by West’s Principal Amy Flinn. Middle School Principal Vici Jennings introduced Travis Hardenburger as Secondary Teacher of the year. Both teachers are in the running for State Teacher of the Year.

Dr. Allen Sylvester introduced the High Schools winners of the Kansas Science and Engineering Fair, Conner McVay, Matt Plummer, Ashlyn Zachgo and Gracyn Nutsch. President Weixelman said this is an example of the fantastic things happening in the District.
