A man arrested nearly two years ago after an eight-month old child died at a Kansas City Hospital was found guilty of felony murder, aggravated battery and child abuse in Geary County Court Thursday afternoon.

Christopher Lyman’s jury trial began last week and concluded on Thursday with jury deliberations.  KMAN received word of the guilty verdict around 4:45 on Thursday.
This incident is said to have happened in September of 2013.  The child was taken to Geary Community Hospital for injuries at that time, but was ultimately taken by helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Sentencing has not yet been set in this case.
