The Leonardville man facing child exploitation charges had a status hearing on Tuesday at 1:00 in the afternoon. John Thomas, who reportedly has about 100 sexual exploitation of a child counts against him, was arrested in Arizona.
A 2-hour preliminary hearing is set for Thomas on July 10th at 9:00 AM. Judge William Malcolm with the Riley County District Court oversaw this scheduling.
Judge Malcolm also set the 3-hour preliminary hearing for Mark Self Jr., the Manhattan man charged with the shooting incident in Aggieville earlier this month will appear in court at 1:00 PM on July 31st. Self was arrested for two counts of attempted murder in the first degree, criminal discharge of a firearm in an occupied building, and criminal discharge of a firearm in an un-occupied building.
