USD 383 LogoDuring their meeting Wednesday evening, Manhattan/Ogden USD 383 School Board members went into their regular business meeting following retiree recognition.

The board covered old business over budget planning for the 2015 and 2016 school year, discussing budget steering committee recommendations presented by Lew Faust, Larry Doll and Robert Seymour. Following a presentation containing information over hypothetical interest rate savings for potential refunding analysis presented by Lew Faust and Greg Vahrenberg, the board moved to discuss more new business as well.

New business during this meeting included the movement by the board to keep school meal prices the same after numbers presented by Stephanie Smith, and the approval by the board following a presentation by Lew Faust and Carol Adams containing student fees and textbook rental decisions for the next school year.

Next month’s meeting is scheduled to contain items over diversity topics as well as ACT and SAT test preparation.
