    Multiple injuries in I-70 accident

    Updated Monday morning:

    Details have been released regarding an accident KMAN first told you about Saturday afternoon on I-70 in Geary County. The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reports at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, Deputies responded to mile marker 301 on Interstate 70 for a report of a two vehicle injury accident.

    Steven Weber of Junction City, was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 in a 2008 Dodge Ram when he struck a large piece of debris in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. The pickup left the roadway, went into the median and entered into the eastbound lanes of travel. Kevin Cahoon of White City was traveling eastbound in a 2007 Dodge Caliber and collided with the Dodge Ram.

    Three patients were transported to Geary Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

    A serious accident occurred involving multiple vehicles Saturday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m. between exits 299 and 301 near Marshall Army Airfield. The accident resulted in traffic being backed up all the way to Junction City.

    Reports indicate that a pickup traveling westbound on I-70 lost control and crossed the median and collided with a vehicle in the eastbound lane after reportedly striking an unknown object. Four people were injured and transported to Geary Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
