The City of Manhattan has enhanced its Know Your Flood Risk website to include information about the potential flood risk along the Big Blue River.

BlueRiverFloodRisk.com contains information about current water levels in the river and how to be prepared for potential flooding along the river in Riley and Pottawatomie counties. The webpage will be updated frequently as new information becomes available. Additional community flood risk information remains at KnowYourFloodRiskMHK.com.

“We want to give residents and business owners a place to find information about preparing for a flood and up-to-date information about the conditions at Tuttle Creek Reservoir and on the Big Blue River,” said Chad Bunger, floodplain administrator for the City of Manhattan.

Additional information regarding the potential flood risk along the Big Blue River will be made available through the website, email notifications, City of Manhattan social media accounts and door-to-door notifications as necessary.
