On Thursday, representatives of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce met with Congressman Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) in his Washington, D.C. office to discuss several federal issues. The group thanked the Congressman for his support on NBAF and detailed ongoing construction efforts. Huelskamp and the group also highlighted Fort Riley’s critical role in our national security, and the impact the base’s future has on the Manhattan community. Lastly, Chamber representatives named many examples of local business that are in need of relief from regulations from federal agencies like OSHA and the EPA.
