Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report and began an investigation into attempted aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property, on Monday.
Police responded to the call in the 800 block of Moro street, and found that Rachel Rankin, 20, of Manhattan as well as Alliance Property Management had become the victims of these crimes.
No items were removed, however, $20.00 worth of damage was sustained to a window screen after an unknown white male in a blue shirt, blue baseball cap, and khaki shorts attempted to make entry into the occupied building.
This unknown subject is approximately 5’10” and has light color hair and was accompanied by a female. The unknown female subject was wearing a red shirt with jean shorts and also had light colored hair.
