Emergency crews responded to a single motorcycle collision near the intersection of Observation Point and Tuttle Cove Road near Manhattan on Wednesday at approximately 8:35 PM. Responding officers found that a 2008 Kawasaki Motorcycle driven by Kong Nguyen, 25, of Junction City, Kansas left the roadway and collided with a guardrail. Nguyen was ejected and received injury, causing him to be transported to Via Christi for treatment.
Junghyun Park, 23, of Manhattan became the victim of theft after her purse and its contents were stolen early Wednesday morning. The crime occurred at 1101 Westloop Place and items taken totaled an approximate value of $1,040.00. These items included Park’s purse, phone, and US currency.
Stephen Hollinhead, 25, of Ogden, Kansas was arrested on Wednesday at approximately 2:00 PM on a failure to appear warrant with the original offense of aggravated battery. The bond for this warrant was set at $5,000.00 and Hollinhead was confined at the time of this report. Hollinhead was arrested in the 200 block of Custer Road in Fort Riley, Kansas.
