    USACE issues 1,000 sandbags to Manhattan

    Flooding PicThe U-S Army Corps of Engineers has issued 1,000 sandbags to the city of Manhattan while water levels continue to rise at Tuttle Creek Lake. Brian McNulty from USACE says there is no forecast that the sandbags will be used, but the city was wanting to plan and prepare. Audio from Tuesday evening’s City Commission meeting can be heard below. Be sure to tune into KMAN’s In Focus on Thursday morning to hear from Brian McNulty.
