Changes in RCPD NextCoffee

nextcoffee-RCPD-7-15

Beginning this month the Riley County Police Department’s Nextdoor.com counterpart, NextCoffee, will go completely on- demand in an effort to make the program even more available to area neighborhoods. Prior to this change NextCoffee was held on the last Monday of each month.

NextCoffee is a casual “meet and greet” created specifically for members of the Manhattan and Riley County community with the support of Nextdoor.com to provide a positive and fun interaction with police. It’s based on a question and answer format and is filled with casual conversation as well as information about crime in the community and how the department is responding. The program was developed earlier this year in order to supplement the department’s change from Neighborhood Watch to a completely online crime prevention program.

If you are a Nextdoor.com account member or reside in the City of Manhattan or Riley County and wish to request a NextCoffee event you can visit the department’s website and submit a request form.

For more information about this program contact the department’s Public Information Officer or follow the link provided.
