20-year-old John T. Booker of Topeka, will appear before U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia on August 19th, in Kansas City, KS.
A public defender representing Booker filed a motion under seal on Tuesday. Attorneys and prosecutors had until Wednesday to file any pretrial motions.
Court documents reveal that Booker was arrested in April, when he tried to arm what he believed to be a 1,000-pound bomb, in a van near Fort Riley.
Booker is facing charges that include attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
