    Police in Riley County arrested a 33-year-old Manhattan man on a no bond warrant for failure to appear. According to Monday’s RCPD activity report,  Christopher Day was taken into custody while at the Riley County Police Department on Saturday at approximately 5:00 PM.
    Day’s warrant for failure to appear had an original offense of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

    An attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated battery was reported in the 200 block of North 5th Street in Manhattan early Monday morning. Riley County Police officers responded to the scene shortly before 3:30 a.m. and found a 19-year-old male was approached by an unknown subject who demanded money from him.
    At the time of the crime a sharp object consistent with that of a knife reportedly was brandished. The victim received minor injury and was released from the scene without need for transport for medical care. As this investigation is ongoing no further information has been released.
    The name of the victim has been withheld due to the unknown nature of this crime.
