    A report of theft was filed in the 2200 block of College Avenue in Manhattan in the overnight hours past midnight Wednesday.  Officers filing the report found that Aidan Waugh, 23, of Manhattan became the victim of the theft when a 2013 Ford Focus, an iPhone, and a 40” television were taken from his home.
    Police are investigating suspects and ask that anyone with information on the 2013 Silver Ford Focus with Kansas license tag ending in “HKT” contact local law enforcement or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. The total estimated loss in this investigation was listed as $13,200.

    Police in Riley County filed a report for burglary in the 800 block of Moro Street on Wednesday for an incident that likely occurred between Tuesday at 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM the next day. Officers found that two vehicles belonging to Bryan and Jenna Sanders (both 30), of Manhattan were entered by an unknown subject in the overnight hours and removed items.

    The items included a West Point ring, an Omega Sea Master watch, and two pairs of sunglasses with a total estimated value of $3,350. Police continue to investigate this crime and ask that anyone with information contact RCPD directly or remain anonymous by contacting the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.

    The Riley County Police Department is investigating a report of rape and criminal sodomy allegedly occurring in the north eastern portion of Manhattan last Saturday. The investigation involves a 16-year-old female and a 22-year-old male suspect who is known to the victim. As this investigation is ongoing and due to the nature of this crime no further information has been released.
