    Further details were released Monday morning regarding the Riley County Police arrest of Jeremiah Tibbs, 22, of Manhattan for the offense of aggravated robbery on Saturday at approximately 12:50 AM. The arrest stemmed from an incident which was reported on Friday, the 3rd of July, at approximately 3:15 AM in the 1300 block of Laramie Street.
    Police found that Seth Rodriguez, 18, of Fort Riley was the victim of aggravated battery and Jessie Allen, 19, also of Fort Riley had become the victim of aggravated robbery after a small group of otherwise unknown males accosted them and demanded that Allen relinquish his wrist watch.
    Injuries sustained by victims were consistent with punches and not considered to be life threatening. Rodriquez was transported to Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for medical treatment. Tibbs bond was set at $15,000.

    A 53-year-old Manhattan man faces drug-related charges following his arrest last Thursday. Following the long holiday weekend, Riley County Police announced Charles Davis II  was taken into custody while in the 1300 block of Fremont Street  at about 8:00 PM Thursday.
    Davis was arrested on the offense of distributing opiates, opium, and narcotic drugs with a bond of $12,000. Police add methamphetamine and marijuana were among the items seized as a result of this investigation which was initiated during a traffic stop with an RCPD K9 unit present.

    Riley County Police arrested a 20-year-old Manhattan man on drug-related charges this past Thursday. Nicholas Scheidt was arrested at approximately 9:15 PM while in the 300 block of Colorado Street for the several offenses including three counts of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of hallucinogenic drugs.
    Scheidt’s bond was set at $10,000. As a result of this investigation sparked by a traffic stop cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and paraphernalia were seized valued at approximately $620.00.

    A 20-year-old Fort Riley man faces a variety of charges following a Sunday morning incident. Aaron Holly was taken into custody for the offenses of battery, aggravated robbery, battery of a law enforcement officer, and interference with law enforcement as well as unlawful use of an identification card and purchasing or consuming an alcoholic beverage by a minor (MIC).
    Holly’s arrest took place at approximately 1:20 AM in the 1200 block of Fremont Street. Officers arrived to the scene of a man being held to the ground and upon further investigation found that Holly had reportedly rushed and tackled to the ground Dennis Wright, 43, of Manhattan who was walking in the area.
    During this altercation Wright’s glasses were removed from his face by Holly and later returned damaged to Wright after officers arrived. While attempting to place Holly in handcuffs he began to struggle with law enforcement on the ground, striking the officer in the head with his knee.
    Ultimately a taser was deployed and Holly was taken into custody. He was given a bond of $10,000.

    Riley County Police arrested Thomas Booth, 27, of Leonardville for the offenses of criminal trespass and violation of a protection order. Booth was arrested Friday afternoon shortly before 3:30 while in the 200 block of Arizona Street in Leonardville.
    Officers made this arrest after Booth reportedly violated a section of a protection order by remaining on property he was not welcomed on. He was issued “no bond” for this violation.

    Riley County Police are investigating a report of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties with a child after being made aware of these alleged crimes at approximately 4:45 AM Monday morning. The victim is currently listed as a 13-year-old female of a city outside of Riley County, and the suspect was currently listed as a 22-year-old male who resides in a city outside of Riley County also. However these crimes are said to have happened within the city limits of Manhattan between 2007 and 2008.
