    Suspect at Large in Manhattan Liquor Store Robbery

    LiquorStoreOn July 15th, 2015 at approximately 10:20 PM officers with the Riley County Police Department were dispatched to 505 Leavenworth Street, in Manhattan for a report of an aggravated robbery and aggravated assault at Fifths Liquor. Officers were told that a man entered the building and demanded the clerk give him money while brandishing a firearm.

    Upon further investigation officers found the suspect to be a white male standing approximately 6 feet tall and 190-200 pounds, with blue eyes and an unknown hair of color. The suspect was wearing a dark color short sleeve shirt and dark color pants with dark boots. He covered his face with a white bandana and wore a blue stocking cap with white gloves.

    Prior to police arrival this suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of US currency. He has not been apprehended. The investigation is ongoing.
