An accident reported shortly after 6 p.m. Friday in Geary County on westbound I-70 blocked traffic for a while but reportedly was cleared within a few hours. The accident occurred between mile markers 297 and 298 just before U.S. Highway 77.
The Geary County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the call came in at 6:06 p.m. but indicated the Kansas Highway Patrol took over the investigation. More information is expected from KHP later.
