Manhattan High School ACT scores are soaring! Composite scores at the school continue to exceed state
and national averages, according to a press release issued by Manhattan-Ogden USD 383.
The 2015 composite score for the school was 23.7, up from a score of 23.1 in 2014. Scores for the school were higher than the state average in all areas of english, math and science–but students did particularly well in reading, earning a score of 24.5.
Manhattan High School Principal Greg Hoyt says the Manhattan-Ogden community should be extremely proud of the accomplishments of the students and faculty at Manhattan High School based upon these results.
Manhattan isn’t the only school seeing ACT success. Kansas students continue to outperform nationwide in all four areas of assessment, receiving an average composite score of 21.9 compared to the national average of 21.
Seventy-four percent of graduating seniors in the state sat for the exam. 32 percent met college readiness benchmarks, compared 28 percent nationally.
