A Westmoreland man facing attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery charges made a first appearance Tuesday in Pottawatomie county District court.  Travis Conder, 28, was appointed counsel and a status hearing is set for September first.
Conder is currently out of jail on $100,000 bond.
Conder was arrested a few weeks ago after a shooting in Westmoreland. Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s deputies found two individuals who lived in the 100 block of South fourth Street in Westmoreland early on a Sunday morning, suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Conder was located outside the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
