A Manhattan man came before Pottawatomie County Court Tuesday on the State’s motion to revoke probation. Anthony Brazzle stipulated to being in violation of his probation. The state requested Brazzle’s probation be revoked and he be remanded to the Department of Corrections to serve his original 22 month sentence. The court revoked the defendant’s probation, but reinstated his probation for a period of 12 months with an additional condition that he successfully complete an inpatient treatment program. Brazzle was remanded to the Pottawatomie County Detention Facility to be held until a bed is available.

Also Tuesday in Pottawatomie County Court, a Manhattan man facing an aggravated battery charge in Pottawatomie County had his first appearance in Pottawatomie County Court Tuesday. Russell Mayes has a December first preliminary hearing set. Mayse was arrested last month following an early Sunday morning incident at State Lake Two in rural Manhattan. A female victim was injured when she was reportedly struck by a vehicle. Mayse also faces a DUI charge.
