A Manhattan man charged with aggravated sodomy now faces a November 23rd court appearance, following activity in Riley County District Court earlier this week. Jase Stanton, 29, who was originally set for arraignment Monday now is set for arraignment November 23rd.

As earlier reported during a preliminary hearing, three men identified as Fort Riley soldiers testified regarding the June seventh incident, when they indicated they met Stanton at a Manhattan bar. The men indicated they went to his home where he had promised there would be women, but passed out after consuming part of a mixed drink made by Stanton.

As KMAN first reported back in June, Stanton made Kansas City Headlines in 2009 and resigned from his position as a field coordinator with Todd Tiahrt’s U-S Senate campaign after being accused of aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual battery. He was later convicted of those crimes.
