Two injury accidents were reported in Geary County Monday. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of US 77 and old Highway 77 for a single vehicle injury accident at about 1:41 p.m. Tonino Coby of Fort Riley was reportedly turning north onto US-77 from Old HIghway 77 when he struck the guardrail. Coby was unconscious from the accident and was transported to Geary Community Hospital by Junction City Fire/EMS.
And shortly after 8:30 Monday night, deputies responded to the four-thousand block of West Lyons Creek Road in reference to a three vehicle accident. Phillip Janke of Junction City was traveling west bound in a  2002 Dodge Ram 2500 when he side swiped a 2000 Chevy Silverado driven by Luther Johnson of Junction City. Janke’s vehicle then struck a ’98 Dodge Durango head on, driven by Lacey Falter of Junction City. One occupant was transported to the Geary Community Hospital by Junction City Fire/EMS.
