The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to two vehicle accident Saturday morning seven miles west of Manhattan on K-18 milepost 180 EB.
A 2007 Honda Civic driven by Salvador Munoz-Solis (48) of Topeka was travelling eastbound on K-18 when it hit an unoccupied 2014 Ford Explorer, which was legally parked on the shoulder of the roadway. The Civic skidded on the icy roadway, lost control, hit the Explorer, then came to rest in the ditch.
Both Munoz-Solis and his passenger, Abigail Billings (21) of Junction City were transported to Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for possible injuries.
