A Leavenworth man was sentenced in Pottawatomie County District Court Thursday to a little under a year with the Kansas Department of Corrections on felony fleeing and eluding and two assault charges.  Travis Doughty, 19, was sentenced to eight months on the fleeing and eluding, with two 30 day sentences on each of the assault charges against him–to run consecutively.
However Doughty was granted probation for 12 months. He was assessed costs and ordered to have no contact with the victims of the assault charges.
Doughty was involved in an hour long chase and search in July, which involved several law enforcement agencies, after a shooting incident involving another car in the Carnahan Creek area.
