Persistent freezing rain and sleet is causing safety issues on roads in the area.
The NE Kansas Regional Notification System has released the following notice for roads in Pottawatomie County:
Inclement weather is expected into Monday. Personnel are actively treating high & low volume roads with sand and salt. High volume gravel roads will be addressed with motor graders spreading existing gravel. Gravel roads are extremely hazardous due to ice & travel on these roads is not recommended.
