A teenager was airlifted for medical treatment following a Monday accident in Geary County. The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reports Monday shortly before nine a.m. Deputies responded to the area of Old 40 Highway and Britt Road for a two vehicle injury accident.
A 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jimmie Burch of Junction City was traveling west on Old 40 and went to make a left turn on to Britt road when his vehicle struck a 1998 Ford Bronco traveling east driven by Jonah Farley of Chapman. The impact sent the Ford in to the south ditch rolling several times.
The passenger, identified only as a 16 year old juvenile female, was ejected from the vehicle. She was air lifted to Salina Mercy.
