    Fort Riley
There are a few changes coming to access control points at Fort Riley in the coming days.

    Starting Saturday, (Dec. 5):

    – The 12th Street Gate is closed to privately owned vehicles on Saturdays. The commercial portion will remain open on Saturdays. The gate is closed to all traffic on Sundays. The gate is open to all traffic Monday through Friday.

    – The Estes Gate will close permanently every Saturday and Sunday, but will remain open Monday through Friday to all traffic, including commercial vehicles.

    Starting Saturday, Dec. 12:

    – The Grant Gate closes permanently every Saturday and Sunday, but remains open to all privately owned vehicle traffic.

Fort Riley authorities indicate changes are necessary to maintain soldiers’ readiness for future training and deployment requirements.

Visitors with a badge, pass or Department of Defense ID card planning on attending the annual Tour of Homes event Saturday should enter Fort Riley through the Grant Gate.

Those attending the Christkindl Market or Wreaths Across America Dec. 12 should use the Henry Gate.

All visitors who don’t have a badge, pass or DoD ID card must enter the installation through the Henry Gate visitor center.
