CHICAGO, Ill. – A 65 minute delay due to a power outage at the Jones Convocation Center and a subsequent move to a different facility couldn’t derail K-State, as the Wildcats downed Chicago State, 63-54, on Saturday.

Following a turnover by K-State, power to the Jones Convocation Center went out forcing a 65 minute delay in the game and the game being moved to the Dickens Center which is the home of the Chicago State volleyball team and practice gyms for both men’s and women’s basketball.

Wesemann was on fire after the delay, scoring seven of K-State’s 14 points sparking the Wildcats to a 54-41 lead at the end of the third.

In the fourth quarter, Chicago State cut the K-State lead to seven, 61-54, with 1:05 to play. A layup late in the shot clock by Kaylee Page put K-State back in front by nine, 63-54, with 37 seconds remaining to seal the game.
