A Westmoreland man has been bound over to stand trial on attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery charges. Travis Conder’s preliminary hearing was continued in Pottawatomie County District Court Wednesday after taking longer than anticipated in early November. The court Wednesday denied the defendant’s motion for immunity based on a right of self defense after evidence was presented.
Conder’s arraignment is set for January 22nd.
Conder was arrested in August after a shooting in Westmoreland. Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 100 block of South Fourth Street in Westmoreland early on a Sunday morning and found two individuals suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Conder was taken into custody outside the residence without incident.
